Italian Parmesan Chicken

I have said before that I would never have Italian dressing on a salad, but I love it on just about everything else!   It is my no fail ingredient.   I think you could add Italian dressing to anything and it would instantly be a fantastic meal.  This dish was so simple, but my husband, Christian, raved about it.  He went on and on about how much he loved it!   I hated to tell him how simple the dish really was.  This 3 ingredient dish is crispy and moist all at the same time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of Parmesan Crusted Shake ‘N Bake                                            
  • 1/3 cup of  Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing
  • 4  boneless Chicken breast

Dip the chicken in the Italian dressing then toss it is the shaker bag that comes with the shake ‘n bake.   Bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.

One of my favorite things to cook with is Italian dressing however,  if you put it on a salad and set it in front of me I would politely pick through it all the while wanting to turn up my nose and push it away.   I like Ranch or Caesar  on my salads, but on chicken,shrimp,  potatoes, casseroles, and pastas I will take Italian dressing please!  Lots of Italian dressing. :)   So, today I am sharing a casserole dish that is one of my favorite with Italian dressing.   This recipe is just the kind of hearty simple meal that I love to make as the weather turns cold.  The cheesy Italian mix of  this dish is both  unexpected and familiar.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef  (cooked and drained)
  • 1 14oz package of Kraft  deluxe Mac and cheese
  • 16 oz frozen mixed vegetables
  • 3/4 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 1.5  cups cheddar cheese

Directions:

  • Boil noodles and drain.
  • Add cheese sauce from kraft kit and veggies to noodles and mix.
  • Add Italian dressing, milk, ground beef, and 1 cup cheddar cheese and mix.
  • Cook in 2 qt casserole dish for 3o minutes at 375°.  Top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for until cheese is melted.

Creamy Italian Pasta

Creamy Italian Pasta

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4  lb your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb chicken breast

Mix the first four ingredients together in pot on low heat.  Cut up chicken breast and season (I use Italian seasoning and a little parsley), cook until chicken is no longer pink.  Boil pasta and drain.  Mix everything together and serve.  This serves four.

Pasta is definitely a staple in our home that we usually have two to three times a week. This pasta dish is so creamy, delicious and simple to make that it is ideal  for a quick meal .  The other evening we got home rather late  and I needed a quick dinner.  This meal was perfect, I threw it together in 10 minutes.  The cream cheese gives it a great consistency and the Italian dressing adds the perfect amount of  zest to it.  Hope yall enjoy!  :)
